College celebrates A World-Wide Learning Environment

previewOver the past three years, 19 faculty members in the College of Arts and Sciences have developed innovative ways to build international experiences into the education of CWRU undergraduates. Faculty members developed projects were part of A World-Wide Learning Environment (WLE), an initiative created with the generous support of the McGregor Fund. Using advanced videoconferencing technology, WLE projects have enabled students to interact with scholars and peers in Africa, Asia, Europe, and South America. For details, visit the WLE website. CWRU releases 2009-10 Annual Report

Death conquers in new book by art historian

Elina Gertsman, assistant professor of art history, has published a book, The Dance of Death in the Middle Ages: Image, Text, Performance. The book is inspired by Gertsman’s childhood fascination with skeletons mocking the dead. Read more.
