Frequently Asked Questions
Q: When will the program be posted?
A: A provisional schedule is now available in PDF format here.
Q: How long will I have to present my paper?
A: You'll have 20 minutes, plus five minutes for questions.
Q: What should I do if I cannot register early with a credit card?
A: E-mail us at csdl9ATcaseDOTedu.
Q: Can I complete part of the registration process now, but pay at the conference and be charged the early registration price?
A: No. If you do not complete your registration by the early registration date (October 4th), you will be charged the late registration price, even if you started your registration before October 4th.
Q: Why does this conference start on a Saturday and last until Monday?
A: October 20th and 21st are CWRU's Fall Break, thus rooms on campus will be free.
Q: How should I present my paper?
A: However you like. People traditionally use different methods at CSDL (PowerPoint, read papers, handouts, etc.).
Q: What technical facilities will be available for presenters?
A: All rooms are equipped with a PC, connector for a laptop, VGA projector, audio, and a document reader (digital overhead projector). Mac users will need to bring their own adaptors for the VGA projector.
Q: Will there be a computer room where I can check e-mail, etc.?
A: CWRU is a completely wireless campus. We encourage you to bring your own laptop to check e-mail, as there are no general computer facilities available.
