New exhibit opening, “At last we were at war: Lakeside Unit in World War One”

Cleveland’s Lakeside Unit, led by Dr. George W. Crile, arrived in Rouen, France on May 22, 1917, the first US medical unit to serve upon US entry in World War I.  This exhibit chronicles the Unit’s service, from its organization in 1914 through Armistice Day in 1919, featuring original images and documents from collections at the Dittrick Medical History Center of Case Western Reserve University. Exhibit runs June 9th through September 21st.
