INTERNAL PROCEDURES FOR APPLYING TO LIMITED SUBMISSIONS PROGRAMS
“Limited Submission” programs are federal and/or private grant programs that have a limitation on the number of proposals allowed to be submitted by CWRU in response to the program announcement.
The PI submits a letter of intent (LOI) or abstract for the “limited submission” to the Office of Research Administration (ORA) electronically. ORA must receive the letter of intent or abstract by 5:00pm on the due date listed below.Once the deadline passes, a committee of senior scientists, including the Associate Deans for each school from which the letters of intent are submitted, is convened to choose a finalist, or finalists, most likely to be funded. Applicants are always notified of the outcome and are encouraged to consult with their Associate Dean if they have questions.
While ORA makes every effort to list all limited submission programs on this website, there may be some programs that are not on our list. We encourage all faculty and staff to notify our office of any programs that you are aware of at firstname.lastname@example.org.
****FINAL proposals must be submitted to ORA at least 5 business days before the deadline.****
