Association for Women in Mathematics Mathematics Travel Grants $2,300 domestic

Feb 1, May 1, Oct 1 Enabling women mathematicians to attend conferences in their fields provides them a valuable opportunity to advance their research activities and their visibility in the research community. Having more women attend such meetings also increases the size of the pool from which speakers at subsequent meetings may be drawn and thus addresses the persistent problem of the absence of women speakers at some research conferences. The Mathematics Travel Grants provide full or partial support for travel and subsistence for a meeting or conference in the applicant’s field of specialization.
College Art Assoication Travel Grants for the Annual Conference Varies September CAA offers Annual Conference Travel Grants to graduate students in art history and studio art and to international artists and scholars. Applicants may apply for more than one grant but can only receive a single award.
Council of American Overseas Research Centers (CAORC) Multi-Country Research Fellowship Program Upper $10,500 30-Jan-17 The Multi-Country Fellowship Program supports advanced regional or trans-regional research in the humanities, social sciences, or allied natural sciences for U.S. doctoral candidates and scholars who have already earned their Ph.D.
Council of American Overseas Research Centers (CAORC) Mediterranean Regional Research Fellowship Program Upper $33,500 15-Jan-17 The Fellowship supports Mediterranean-focused research in the humanities and related social sciences in countries bordering the Mediterranean and served by the following American overseas research centers: the American Academy in Rome; the American Center for Oriental Research in Amman; the W.F. Albright Institute of Archaeological Research in Jerusalem; the American Institute for Maghrib Studies, with centers in Tunisia, Morocco, and Algeria; the American Research Center in Egypt; the American Research Institute in Turkey; the American School of Classical Studies at Athens; the Cyprus American Archaeological Research Institute; the Palestinian American Research Center; and the American Research Center in Sofia.
Fulbright Fulbright Specialist Program Varies Rolling Deadline The Fulbright Specialist Program (FSP) promotes linkages between U.S. scholars and professionals and their counterparts at host institutions overseas. Grant Duration: Two- to six-weeks.
Fulbright Programs for U.S. Scholars Vaires Varies The Fulbright Program awards approximately 8,000 grants annually. Roughly 1,600 U.S. students, 4,000 foreign students, 1,200 U.S. scholars, and 900 visiting scholars receive awards, in addition to several hundred teachers and professionals. Approximately 310,000 “Fulbrighters” have participated in the Program since its inception in 1946.

Ford Presidential Foundation awards grants in support of research in the holdings of the Gerald R. Ford Library. Library collections focus on federal policies, U.S. foreign relations, and national politics in the 1960s and 1970s. There are earlier and later materials depending upon the researcher’s topic.

Princeton University Library Library Research Grants Upper $3,500 15-Jan-17 Each year, the Friends of the Princeton University Library offer short-term Library Research Grants to promote scholarly use of the research collections. The Program in Hellenic Studies with the support of the Stanley J. Seeger Fund also supports a limited number of library fellowships in Hellenic studies, and the Cotsen Children’s Library supports research in its collection on aspects of children’s books.
Society of Architectural Historians (SAH) H. Allen Brooks Traveling Fellowship $50,000 3-Oct-16 The Society of Architectural Historians’ prestigious H. Allen Brooks Travelling Fellowship will be offered for 2016 and will allow a recent graduate or emerging scholar to study by travel for one year. The fellowship is not for the purpose of doing research for an advanced academic degree. Instead, Professor Brooks intended the recipient to study by travel and contemplation while observing, reading, writing, or sketching.
United States Department of Defense (DOD) Visiting Scientist Program (VSP) Cost of Travel 8 weeks in advance of travel date The program supports short visits between Department of Navy personnel, contractors and grantees and international scientists and technologists for the purpose of
– planning cooperative science and technology (S&T) programs with researchers in the Naval Research Enterprise (NRE);
– identifying and discussing outstanding S&T issues in areas of NRE interest and developing long-term relationships; and
– maintaining ONRG connectivity with the international scientific community in the focus areas of the Naval S&T Strategic Plan.
Wellington Medical Research Foundation (WMRF) Grants in Aid of Research/Travel Grants Varies 14-Sep-16 The primary object of the Foundation is “to enquire and conduct research into the nature and origin and causes of disease and afflictions both bodily and mental with the object of improving the health of the community”.
The grants are designed to assist rather than fund fully, travel which is for the purpose of presenting at appropriate scientific meetings, results of research funded by the Foundation. The funds available are not adequate to meet applications by all who receive research grants.

In accordance with the mission of the Foundation, priority is given to events that foster the creation of an international community of research scholars in anthropology and advance significant and innovative anthropological research.
