The following information is for people who have been invited to serve as reviewers.

Logging In
If you submitted a paper to the conference, you will already have an account on our system. Simply log in using the link at the top of this page, and you will see that your status has been updated to "Reviewer."

If you did not submit a paper, an account has been created for you.
When you receive an email inviting you to review a specific abstract, it will also contain instructions for how to retrieve your username and password for this account. Once you have these, you can log in as described above.

Confirm or Decline
The first thing you should do is let us know whether or not you will review the specific abstract. Log in and find the link on your user home page marked "Reviewer." Click this link and you should see a list of your assigned abstracts. Click on the title of the abstract to view the abstract information. Below the abstract you will see "review steps". Under review step 1, click one of the two icons to indicate your decision. An e-mail will be generated. Click either "send" or "skip e-mail". We will get your decision either way.

You can continue the review process or return later to enter your review.

Entering your review
To enter your review, click on the icon to open a window. Type or paste your review into the box. Click "close" when you are finished. Next, enter a decision to accept or decline the paper using the pull down menu.


Reviewing criteria
Please consider the following questions as you review this abstract.

Focus. Is the paper appropriate for CSDL? Successful papers should present research on the interaction of language and cognition, including but not limited to work in the fields of cognitive linguistics, functional linguistics, discourse, corpus linguistics, and speech and language processing.

Research question. Does the paper present a well-defined research question?

Methodology. Does the paper feature precise methodology, sample data, and actual or anticipated results?

Significance. Does this paper make a significant contribution to the field?
