What is your major?
Why did you choose to study nutrition?
I initially chose nutrition on a whim, but two classes in I discovered my passion for nutrition and overall wellness as it relates to food and fitness.
What is your favorite class and/or faculty member, and why?
I really enjoyed my Photography Studio 1 class with Alexander Aitken. I am always reluctant to take classes that require creativity and artistic input, but this class encouraged me to be intentionally creative like never before and encouraged me to step out of my science course comfort zone.
Why did you choose CWRU?
I initially did not choose CWRU because it was too close to home for me. I had wanted to go to college at least 2 hours from home. I ended up here because it was the most financially sound decision at the time, but 4 years later I am glad that I ended up here!
What do you like best about CWRU?
I love the diverse group of people I’ve been privileged to know and work with throughout my time here!
What do you like best about living in Cleveland?
I like the wide variety of activities, adventures, and opportunities that are available to us here in Cleveland.
Describe any research projects, study abroad, internship or other unique experiences and opportunities you have had as a result of being a CWRU student.
For my capstone project, I had the opportunity to teach high school students about nutrition. It was an enriching and eye opening experience.
What extracurricular activities are you involved in?
I an involved with Cru, the Student Dietetic Association, and the African Students Association.
What are some of your other interests and hobbies?
I enjoy reading, working out, shopping, and listening to music.
What do you consider to be your biggest accomplishment so far?
My biggest accomplishment so far is graduating from college. It was the most difficult journey I have endured and I feel accomplished having come out on the other side stronger, brighter, and wiser.
Where do you see yourself in five years?
In 5 years I will be working as a dietitian and personal trainer.
