This shortcode only works with the pre-2018 version of the Events system. The 2018+ version uses different display methods.<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>[\/vc_column_text][\/vc_column][\/vc_row][vc_row][vc_column width=&#8221;1\/2&#8243;][vc_column_text]<\/p>\n<p>1. Mouse over &#8220;Events&#8221; in the sidebar, and select &#8220;Event Categories&#8221; from the list.<\/p>\n<p>[\/vc_column_text][\/vc_column][vc_column width=&#8221;1\/2&#8243;][vc_single_image image=&#8221;1293&#8243; img_size=&#8221;large&#8221;][\/vc_column][\/vc_row][vc_row][vc_column][vc_separator][\/vc_column][\/vc_row][vc_row][vc_column width=&#8221;1\/2&#8243;][vc_column_text]<\/p>\n<p>2. In the list that appears, find your desired category and note the &#8220;slug&#8221; from the slug column.<\/p>\n<p>[\/vc_column_text][\/vc_column][vc_column width=&#8221;1\/2&#8243;][vc_single_image image=&#8221;1295&#8243; img_size=&#8221;large&#8221;][\/vc_column][\/vc_row][vc_row][vc_column][vc_separator][\/vc_column][\/vc_row][vc_row][vc_column width=&#8221;1\/2&#8243;][vc_column_text]<\/p>\n<p>3. Make a new page, or edit the existing page where you would like to display your list of events. To use the shortcode, you can copy\/paste this text:<\/p>\n<p><code>[display-events category=\"slug\" date-type=\"past\"]<\/code><\/p>\n<p>After copy\/pasting, replace the word <strong>slug<\/strong> with the slug you noted in step 2. The word <strong>past<\/strong> can also be changed to <strong>future<\/strong>, depending on the timeframe of the events you&#8217;d like to display. Save your page.
