March 23rd, 2018, 4:30 pm-5:30 pm<br \/>\n<b>Location:\u00a0<\/b>Tinkham Veale University Center Ballroom A, 11038 Bellflower Road, Cleveland, OH 44106<\/p>\n<p>Marion Nestle opens the 2018 Cleveland Humanities Festival and CWRU\u2019s 2018 Food Symposium. In this lecture Marion Nestle, Paulette Goddard Professor, of Nutrition, Food Studies, and Public Health, Emerita, at New York University, discusses the idea that the paradox of today\u2019s globalized food system is that food insecurity or obesity threaten the health and welfare of half the world\u2019s population.\u00a0Underlying these problems is an overabundant but inequitably distributed\u00a0food system in which corporations are forced to expand markets to meet growth targets.
