Apply to be Nominated for NEH’s Summer Stipend Program By July 31

The National Endowment for the Humanities’ Summer Stipends program supports individuals pursuing advanced research that is of value to humanities scholars, general audiences, or both. Recipients usually produce articles, monographs, books, digital materials, archaeological site reports, translations, editions, or other scholarly resources. Summer Stipends supports continuous full-time work on a humanities project for a period of two consecutive months. Summer Stipends support projects at any stage of development.

This program requires all applicants to be nominated by a campus official. As each institutions can only nominate up to two individuals, CWRU College of Arts and Sciences conducts an internal competition to select nominees.

To be considered for nomination, submit an application to the Office of Research and Grant Development here by July 31 , 2019. The application includes a budget, short CV, and three page narrative. Selected individuals will be notified by August 16, 2019 in advance of the NEH’s September 25, 2019 submission deadline.
