APF grants align with our mission of enhancing psychology to elevate the human condition and advance human potential. We offer grants for early career funding and seed grants for research and for targeted programs.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><a href=\"http:\/\/www.acls.org\/grants\/default.aspx?id=354\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\"><strong>American Council of Learned Societies (ACLS)<\/strong><\/a><br \/>\nThe mission of ACLS is &#8220;the advancement of humanistic studies in all fields of learning in the humanities and the social sciences and the maintenance and strengthening of relations among the national societies devoted to such studies.&#8221;\u00a0 ACLS offers fellowships and grants in more than a dozen programs for research in the humanities and\u00a0related social sciences at the doctoral and postdoctoral levels.<\/p>\n<p><a href=\"http:\/\/hfg.org\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\"><strong>Harry Frank Guggenheim Foundation (HFG)<\/strong><\/a><br \/>\nHFG welcomes proposals from any of the natural and social sciences and the humanities that promise to increase understanding of the causes, manifestations, and control of violence, aggression, and dominance. HFG awards\u00a0<a href=\"http:\/\/hfg.org\/rg\/guidelines.htm\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\">research grants<\/a>\u00a0to individuals for individual projects only.\u00a0 In addition to its support for postdoctoral research, ten or more\u00a0<a href=\"http:\/\/hfg.org\/df\/guidelines.htm\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\">dissertation fellowships<\/a>\u00a0are awarded each year to individuals who will complete the writing of the dissertation within the award year.<\/p>\n<p><a href=\"http:\/\/www.h-net.org\/announce\/group.cgi?type=Funding\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\"><strong>H-Net Funding Annoucements<\/strong><\/a><br \/>\nAn international consortium of scholars and teachers, H-Net creates and coordinates Internet networks with the common objective of advancing teaching and research in the arts, humanities, and social sciences.<\/p>\n<p><a href=\"http:\/\/www.theihs.org\/node\/6\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\"><strong>Institute for Humane Studies\u00a0<\/strong><strong>(<\/strong><strong>IHS)<\/strong><\/a><br \/>\nIHS advances a freer society by discovering and facilitating the development of talented, productive students, scholars, and other intellectuals who share an interest in liberty.\u00a0 It awards scholarships and research fellowships to undergraduate and graduate students, as well as funding to graduate students and untenured faculty for\u00a0<a href=\"http:\/\/www.theihs.org\/node\/450\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\">career-enhancing activities<\/a>.<\/p>\n<p><a href=\"http:\/\/www.nsf.gov\/funding\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\"><strong>National Science Foundation\u00a0<\/strong><strong>(NSF)<\/strong><\/a><br \/>\nNSF provides grants and awards to graduate students and postdoctoral fellows for\u00a0<a href=\"http:\/\/www.nsf.gov\/dir\/index.jsp?org=sbe\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\">social, behavioral, and economic<\/a>\u00a0research, among other program areas.<\/p>\n<p><a href=\"http:\/\/www.russellsage.org\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\"><strong>Russell Sage Foundation<\/strong><\/a><br \/>\nThe Russell Sage Foundation is the principal American Foundation devoted exclusively to research in the social sciences. Located in New York City, it is a research center, a funding source for studies by scholars at other academic and research institutions, and an active member of the nation&#8217;s social science community.\u00a0 It offers postdoctoral funding through its\u00a0<a href=\"http:\/\/www.russellsage.org\/rsf-research-programs\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\">Research Programs<\/a>\u00a0and\u00a0<a href=\"http:\/\/www.russellsage.org\/visiting-scholars\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\">Visiting Scolars Program<\/a>.<\/p>\n<p><a href=\"http:\/\/www.ssrc.org\/fellowships\/search\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\"><strong>Social Science Research Council (SSRC)<\/strong><\/a><br \/>\nSSRC is an independent nonprofit organization devoted to the advancement of social science research and scholarship. Founded in New York City in 1923 as the world\u2019s first national coordinating body of the social sciences, it is today an international resource for interdisciplinary, innovative public social science.\u00a0 It offers various grants and fellowships for predoctoral and postdoctoral work.<\/p>\n<p><a href=\"http:\/\/www.wennergren.org\/programs\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\"><strong>Wenner-Gren Foundation for Anthropological Research<\/strong><\/a><br \/>\nThe Wenner-Gren Foundation for Anthropological Research, Inc. is a private operating foundation dedicated to the advancement of anthropology throughout the world. It has a variety of grant programs for anthropological research and scholarship &#8212; including for doctoral-level research and for conferences\/workshops &#8212; that are open to applicants irrespective of nationality or country of residence.<\/p>\n<p><a href=\"http:\/\/wilsoncenter.org\/index.cfm?fuseaction=sf.welcome\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\"><strong>Woodrow Wilson International Center for Scholars (WWICS)<\/strong>\u00a0<\/a><br \/>\nWWICS supports research in the social sciences and humanities.\u00a0 It offers 9-month residential fellowships to academics, public officials, journalists, and business professionals.\u00a0 Fellows conduct research and write in their areas of interest, while interacting with policymakers in Washington and Center staff. The Center also hosts Public Policy Scholars and Senior Scholars who conduct research and write in a variety of disciplines.<\/p>\n<p><a href=\"http:\/\/www.woodrow.org\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\"><strong>Woodrow Wilson National Fellowship Foundation<\/strong><\/a><br \/>\nSeeking to dignify the teaching profession, the Foundation offers\u00a0<a href=\"http:\/\/woodrow.org\/fellowships\/ww-teaching-fellowships\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\">Teaching Fellowships<\/a>\u00a0to encourage the most outstanding students to choose teaching as a career. \u00a0It also offers\u00a0<a href=\"http:\/\/woodrow.org\/fellowships\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\">fellowships<\/a>\u00a0to support future leaders at a variety of career stages in the fields of foreign affairs, education, women &amp;
