The registrant must be at least 16 years old to take this test.<\/p>\n<p>The test measures the level of oral comprehension and expression in French.<\/p>\n<p><strong>Please note that this test does not apply to immigration applications to Quebec or Canada.<\/strong><\/p>\n<h2>Test components:<\/h2>\n<p>The TEF for naturalization consists of\u00a0<strong>two sections that must be taken together during the one exam session<\/strong>:<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li><strong>oral comprehension:\u00a0<\/strong>40 minutes &#8211; 40 questions, MCQ, on computer.<\/li>\n<li><strong>oral expression:\u00a0<\/strong>15 minutes &#8211; 2 topics, face to face with an examiner.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p><strong><u>Total test duration<\/u><\/strong>: 55 minutes.<\/p>\n<p>Test results will be sent electronically.<\/p>\n<h3>Recommended preparation:<\/h3>\n<p>Platform PrepMyFuture: <a href=\"https:\/\/prepmyfuture.com\/tef-english\">https:\/\/prepmyfuture.com\/tef-english<\/a><\/p>\n<p>Sample exams, books, audio files: <a href=\"https:\/\/www.lefrancaisdesaffaires.fr\/en\/tests-diplomas\/prepare-for-the-tef\/\">https:\/\/www.lefrancaisdesaffaires.fr\/en\/tests-diplomas\/prepare-for-the-tef\/<\/a><\/p>\n<h3><strong>Registration details:<\/strong><\/h3>\n<p>Contact the IFSPEC for test preparation material, registration periods and exam session dates.<\/p>\n<p>If you think your situation calls for\u00a0<strong>specific arrangements<\/strong>, please contact the exam center manager before registering: <a href=\"mailto:fgh2@case.edu\">Fabienne Pizot-Haymore<\/a>.<\/p>\n<p><span style=\"color: #ff0000\">All registrations close eight days before the exam session. Please contact fgh2@case.edu upon registration to verify your information is complete and your registration was taken into account. You must have received an official convocation email from the IFSPEC&#8211;in addition to a debit\/credit card receipt.<\/span><\/p>\n<h3><strong>Cancellations, Absences, Refunds\u00a0<\/strong><\/h3>\n<p>In the case you must cancel your registration <strong>more than 8 days<\/strong> before the scheduled TEF or DFP test session, a cancellation fee will be charged in the amount of $30.00.<\/p>\n<p>Any request for cancellation of your registration\u00a0<strong>under 8 days<\/strong>\u00a0before the scheduled TEF or DPF test session, and\/or your absence\u00a0<strong>on the day<\/strong>\u00a0of the TEF or DFP test session, must be duly documented with your exam center. In such a case, exam\/test fees are non-refundable, but the exam\/test may be rescheduled at a later time. Please note that any exam\/test may be rescheduled only ONE time.<\/p>\n<p>All relevant medical and\/or professional documentation must be submitted to the <a href=\"mailto:fgh2@case.edu\">IFSPEC Exam Center<\/a> who will forward it to the CCI Paris Ile-de-France.
