Consider applying for national and international fellowships, including the Fulbright Program, Marshall Scholarship, Rhodes Scholarship, Thomas R. Pickering Foreign Affairs Fellowship, James C. Gaither Junior Fellows Program at the Carnegie Endowment for International Peace, Truman Scholarship, Gates Cambridge Scholarship, George J. Mitchell Scholarship, Schwarzmann Scholars, American Scandinavian Foundation Fellowships, Charles B. Kasey Pukys ’22<\/h3>\n

International Studies alumna Kasey Pukys \u201922<\/strong> was awarded a prestigious Critical Language Scholarship. Kasey will study Russian virtually in the summer of 2021 through the KORA Russian Language Center in Vladimir, Russia.<\/p>\n

Anna Koch ’20<\/h3>\n

International Studies alumna\u00a0Anna Koch \u201920<\/strong> was awarded a second Critical Language Scholarship in 2021 to study Urdu at the American Institute of Indian Studies.\u00a0 She previously won this U.S. government grant to study Korean remotely in the summer of 2020.<\/p>\n

International Studies alumna Kimberly Osbern \u201921<\/strong> was awarded a Fulbright to conduct interviews in Moldova in 2021-2022.\u00a0 She is investigating connections between individuals\u2019 language usage choices and their attitudes toward possible unification of Moldova and Romania.<\/p>\n

International Studies alumna Anna Sklenar \u201919<\/strong> was awarded a Fulbright to examine the influence of nostalgia for the Soviet era on populism in Russia today.\u00a0 She conducted interviews in Ekaterinburg, Russia in 2019-2020 as part of her research.<\/p>\n

International Studies alumna Kintan Silvany \u201924<\/strong> was awarded a Gilman International Scholarship.\u00a0 Learning Indonesian at the University of Sydney not only helped Kintan connect more with her culture but opened her world on how to be a better global citizen. It led Kintan to interning at the Asylum Seekers Centre, which further solidified her passion for working in education policy for immigrants and refugees around the world.<\/p>\n
