Congratulations to our graduating seniors:\u00a0<\/strong>Adiah Bailey, Olivia Battistoni, Zineb Benkirane, Bobby Bruno, Kayley Carter, Eleanor Gaddy, John Garcia, Nandita Kannapadi, Alana Khan, Kimberly Osbern, Hanna Paris, Fatima Rahman, and Grace Zhang.<\/p>\n

Congratulations to numerous INTL majors for their impressive achievements!<\/strong><\/p>\n

Kasey Pukys\u00a0<\/strong>won a national Critical Language Scholarship to study Russian remotely through the KORA Language Center in Vladimir, Russia.<\/p>\n

Baker-Nord Center summer grant winners include\u00a0Reagan Amato<\/strong>, who will complete an internship in South Korea;\u00a0Jordan Deskins<\/strong>, who will work with Asociaci\u00f3n de Trabajadores del Campo in Nicaragua on labor rights and food sovereignty;\u00a0and\u00a0Nathan Ruhde<\/strong>, who will continue to conduct research for the global data collection initiative CoronaNet.<\/strong><\/p>\n

Numerous majors have also won SOURCE summer grants.\u00a0 So far, two have finalized their plans.\u00a0\u00a0Aarushi Deo<\/strong>\u00a0will use the grant toward her research on conservation of DNA repair mechanisms in the brains of aged Drosophila.\u00a0Lelia Durand\u00a0<\/strong>will write policy reports on U.S.-China relations as an intern with the Alliance for Citizen Engagement and will assist with Cleveland Council on World Affairs\u2019 international exchange and Model United Nations programs.<\/p>\n

Summer Funding\u00a0<\/a>
\nThe first deadline for applying for funding for unpaid internships, projects, and research through Post-Graduate Planning and Experiential Education is May 7. If funds remains, additional applications will be considered on a rolling basis until June 1.<\/p>\n

The National Endowment for Democracy<\/a>
\nThe National Endowment for Democracy offers numerous internships. The fall 2021 application period opened April 20.<\/p>\n

Virtual Student Federal Service<\/a>
\nInternational Studies majors have had\u00a0excellent experiences interning remotely during the academic year for U.S. government agencies, including the Department of State.\u00a0 Positions are listed beginning July 1.<\/p>\n
