[vc_row][vc_column][rev_slider_vc alias=”main-page”][vc_column_text]Between Memory and the Archive: Jewish Print Culture <\/strong>is a National Endowment for the Humanities Summer Institute<\/a> exploring the historical development of the design and use of Hebrew typefaces in a variety of genres, from the early modern period to the present. The Institute takes place June 15th-27th, 2025<\/strong> at the YIVO Institute for Jewish Research<\/a>, New York City and at the Cary Graphic Arts Collection<\/a> at the Rochester Institute of Technology in Rochester, NY.\u00a0\u00a0Lectures, discussions, and archival materials will introduce participants to different forms of Jewish print culture, from early modern books to contemporary typeface design. These material differences will be reinforced through collaborative letterpress printing projects at RIT.<\/span><\/p>\n
