{"id":60,"date":"2013-11-03T22:12:40","date_gmt":"2013-11-03T22:12:40","guid":{"rendered":"http:\/\/newartsci.case.edu\/sites\/teacher-licensure\/?page_id=60"},"modified":"2025-10-01T14:57:04","modified_gmt":"2025-10-01T18:57:04","slug":"chemistry","status":"publish","type":"page","link":"https:\/\/artsci.case.edu\/teacher-education\/programs\/chemistry\/","title":{"rendered":"Chemistry"},"content":{"rendered":"<h3>Chemistry: Single-Field Adolescence to Young Adult<\/h3>\n<p>The Teacher Education, BA program is not currently admitting students.<\/p>\n<p><strong>Overview of Program:<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>Students majoring in Chemistry who wish to teach chemistry, but not physics, at the high school level may choose to obtain licensure in AYA Chemistry, rather than AYA Physical Science (Dual-Field: Chemistry and Physics.)\u00a0\u00a0This program prepares students to design and deliver instruction that encourages critical thinking, conceptual understanding and problem-solving in chemistry for the high school students they will teach.<\/p>\n<p>Students who choose this option pursue the B.A. program in Chemistry.
