Pavel Fileviez Perez is an Assistant Professor in the physics department at Case Western Reserve University, Cleveland, USA. He studied at the Institute for Nuclear Sciences and Technology in Havana, Cuba, the International Centre for Theoretical Physics (ICTP), Trieste, Italy, and received his Ph.D from the Max Planck Institute for Physics in Munich, Germany. He worked as an Associate Scientist at the Max Planck Institute for Nuclear Physics in Heidelberg, Germany and a Visiting Associate in the Particle Theory Group at the California Institute of Technology (Caltech), USA. He was a James Arthur Fellow at the Center for Cosmology and Particle Physics in New York University, USA, and a Dirac Fellow in the University of Wisconsin-Madison, USA. His main research interests include particle physics and cosmology, physics beyond the Standard Model, unification of gauge interactions, supersymmetric theories, neutrino physics, dark matter in the Universe, and New Physics at the Large Hadron Collider.
