Welcome to the STAR Lab! In our lab, we focus on identifying ways to help youth with ADHD and attention problems experience positive outcomes. Specifically, we focus on how to develop, implement, and evaluate school- and community-based interventions that improve outcomes for youth with ADHD. In the STAR Lab, we believe partnering with schools and community members to bring interventions to youth is a great way to make sure interventions are helpful and relevant to youth. By anchoring our work within schools and the community, we can make sure that interventions that help students with ADHD are accessible, feasible, and useful for youth, families, and school partners.

Our Focus:

Research:

  • Identify factors relevant to positive health outcomes for youth with ADHD.
  • Develop, implement, and test interventions in schools and communities where they can be most accessible and helpful.

Partnership:

  • Collaborate with school and community partners to ensure our work is feasible and meaningful.

Impact:

  • Improve and promote positive academic and social-emotional health outcomes for youth with ADHD.
