In November, Dr. Capps presented a keynote at the ADHD Special Interest Group meeting at the Association for Behavioral and Cognitive Therapies (ABCT) annual convention in New Orleans, Louisiana. Dr. Capps presented work co-authored by Dr. Melissa R. Dvorsky at Children’s National Hospital/The George Washington University School of Medicine and Health Sciences, Dr. Elizabeth Chan at Montclair State University, Dr. Stephen P. Becker at Cincinnati Children’s Hospital Medical Center/University of Cincinnati College of Medicine, and Dr. Joshua M. Langberg at Rutgers University. The keynote discussed person-centered approaches to understanding variability in academic motivation among youth with ADHD and implications for research, theory, and clinical practice.
