Professor Vegh is an actor and director with over thirty years of professional experience working both on stage and in film & television.  He made his feature film debut opposite Tom Hanks in Steven Spielberg’s Saving Private Ryan.  He has since worked with numerous Golden Globe and Academy Award winning and nominated actors and directors, including Robert DeNiro, Regina King, Taraji P. Henson, Jon Hamm, Helen Hunt, Martin Landau and Barry Levinson.

His television credits include guest appearances on Grey’s AnatomyDexter, House, and Mad About You.  His recent credits include the LeBron James biopic Shooting Stars (Peacock), The Paramount+ original series Mayor of Kingstown and the Netflix film Shirley.

David’s stage work includes South Coast Repertory, Chautauqua Theatre Company and locally, None Too Fragile, Ensemble Theatre and Dobama.  He will play Torvald in the Beck Center production of Lucas Hnath’s A Doll’s House Pt. 2, directed by Don Carrier.

He has directed numerous productions for the CWRU Department of Theater including The MoorsAlmost Maine, Stop/Kiss, and Cry Baby.  In the Cleveland community, he has directed for the Beck Center and None Too Fragile, where he was nominated for a Critics Circle Award for Best Direction for his production of Small Engine Repair.

He holds an MFA in Acting and Directing from California State University, Long Beach and an undergraduate degree in Theatre from The University of Evansville.  He is a member of SAG-AFTRA and Actors Equity Association (AEA).
