About
Professor Vegh is an actor and director with over twenty years of professional experience working both on stage and in film & television. He made his feature film debut opposite Tom Hanks in Steven Spielberg’s Saving Private Ryan. His television credits include guest appearances on Dexter, Grey’s Anatomy, House M.D., Mad About You, Chicago Hope, and Picket Fences. He has performed opposite several Golden Globe, Emmy and Academy Award winning actors including Helen Hunt, Martin Landau, Taraji P. Henson, Michael C. Hall, Jon Hamm, and Hugh Laurie. His most recent credits include the film Acts of Violence starring Bruce Willis and the NBCUniversal television show Gone. He is a member of SAG-AFTRA and Actors Equity Association (AEA).
David’s stage work includes South Coast Repertory, Chautauqua Theatre Company, and several seasons as a company member with California Repertory. He was named to the L.A. Backstage West Garland Critics List for his performance as three generations of Rowan family patriarchs in CalRep’s The Kentucky Cycle. He has directed High Fidelity, Lobby Hero, and The Cripple of Inishmaan on the Eldred mainstage for the CWRU Department of Theater.
Prior to joining the faculty at CWRU, he taught at Penn State Erie, The Behrend College and California State University, Long Beach. He has taught guest workshops on Acting for the Camera at Santa Fe School of Art & Design and Oakland University.
