Research Interests

The Snyder lab is largely dedicated to theoretical ecology and evolution, with occasional forays into other areas of mathematical biology. Most work is related to chance in some way: how do organisms cope with uncertainty and random variation in their environments? Might they even take advantage of it? What about plain old good luck and bad luck (“demographic stochasticity”), even in a constant environment?  To learn more, click here.
