Wadi Rum, Jordan, Liana Kabins ’18

Students select area and topical foci and choose courses from throughout the university to meet these requirements.  The International Studies staff creates a list of courses with predominantly international content a few weeks before registration begins for each semester.  The links to the left lead to lists from previous semesters.  Majors receive the list for the upcoming semester by email once it is drafted.

Students should also search SIS for courses as classes are added and sometimes cancelled after the International Studies staff has drafted the list.  Also the list does not include university seminars, which tend to be added to SIS later.

If a course does not appear on the list and it is not evident from the description in SIS whether the course has predominantly international content, the student should obtain the syllabus from the instructor and discuss with the director of International Studies whether the course has sufficient international content.

Faculty members interested in having their courses for an upcoming semester considered for inclusion on the list should email the course name, number, description, and an indication of whether the course focuses on a particular region of the world to internationalstudies@case.edu.

Courses with International Content

IMPORTANT:  This list of internationally-focused courses likely is missing some despite a thorough search.  Obtain syllabi for other courses that are of interest and discuss with the director whether they have sufficient international content.  Also review the list of university seminars once it appears on SIS. If unsure about the contents of a course, please reach out to the professor or Professor PuñalesAlpízar for guidance.
