Dean Joy Ward selected to serve as member and chair of the Directorate Advisory Committee at Pacific Northwest National Lab

Joy K. Ward, dean of the College of Arts and Sciences, has been selected to serve as a member and chair of the Directorate Advisory Committee (DAC) for the Earth and Biological Sciences Directorate (EBSD) at Pacific Northwest National Laboratory. Dean Ward’s research on plants, ecosystems and environmental impact is well-aligned with the focus of the laboratory. 

Pacific Northwest National Laboratory is a leading center for scientific discovery in chemistry, data analytics and Earth science, along with technological innovation in energy resiliency and national security. As a member and chair of DAC, Dean Ward will provide expertise in her areas of study alongside other distinguished scientists and help direct EBSD’s focus on national priorities, suggest strategy to execute the vision and advise on potential opportunities.
