SpeakEasy now offers a music focused session called SpeakEasy Choir, bringing together a group of adults with ANCD over a familiar topic that they loved, in a space where they feel safe and can express themselves.
Jacqueline Nanfito, associate professor of Spanish in the Department of Modern Languages and Literatures, has been chosen as an Albert Nelson Marquis Lifetime Achievement Award winner by Marquis Who’s Who, regarded as the world’s premier publisher of biographical profiles in many disciplines. Nanfito is recognized as a leader in the fields of Spanish, Latin American literature and language and higher education.
After serving the Department of Chemistry for almost 40 years in many capacities including acting department chair and chair on separate occasions, Anthony J. Pearson, Rudolph and Susan Rense Professor of Chemistry, has been awarded the Department of Chemistry’s Morton L. Mandel Award for Outstanding Chemistry Faculty for 2021.

Nam Vo, a third year student in the Department of Classics and Physics, has won the Manson A. Steward Award. Given by the Classical Association of the Middle West and South (CAMWS) to sophomore or junior level undergraduate students, recipients of the award have shown achievement and potential in classical studies over the course of the academic year.
