The Lajos F. Takacs, PhD, Endowment Fund was established on December 13, 2016. This gift was made possible thanks to Judy Takacs Pendergast and Susan Takacs, WRC ’86, who made their donation to honor their late father, Lajos F. Takacs, a former Case Institute of Technology (CIT) mathematics professor. This endowed fund provides support for an annual undergraduate student merit prize in the Department of Mathematics, Applied Mathematics and Statistics, that can be used for tuition, experiential learning, supplies, books and education related travel!
