Sunday, November 16th to Saturday, November 22nd. International Education Week is a world-wide celebration of international education endeavors founded by the U.S. Department of State and the U.S. Department of Education. Check out the link to view the schedule of events on campus.

Building Global Community: An International Panel Discussion

Europe

War, Genocide, and Justice in Boznia Herzegovina
Friday, November 14th from 12:30 to 1:30 pm at The Tinkham Veale Center room 280F (The Inamori Center). Join GELS (The Global Ethical Leaders Society) member and International Studies major Cameron Macaskill to discuss her experience in Bosnia.

Metamorphoses of Madea
Friday, November 14th from 4:30 to 5:30 pm in Clark Hall room 309. A discussion with Mary-Kay Gamel, Professor of Classics, Comparative Literature and Theatre Arts at UC Santa Cruz.

Film Viewing of Expedition to the End of the World
Friday and Sunday at the Cleveland Museum of Art. This film documents the adventure of a “three-mast schooner filled with Danish artists and scientists that sets sail for remote Northeast Greenland on a quest to answer some existential questions.” Cleveland premier. $7 for students.

 

Middle East

MECA Fall Hafleh
Friday, November 14th from 7:00 to 11:00 pm at The Spot. Join the Middle Eastern Cultural Association for the annual fall hafleh (party) to include dancing, henna, music and Arabic food. Undergrads $5.
