Boren Scholarships
Apply for funding to study less commonly taught languages in world regions critical to U.S. interests. The application deadline is February 8.

Consider attending one or more of this organization’s East Coast career fairs, which offer a broader array of employers than CWRU career fairs typically do.

Cleveland Clinic Student Volunteer Program
Students interested in global health may find this opportunity useful. Enhance patient experiences at the Cleveland Clinic during the Spring 2018 semester. The application deadline is December 8.

Pittsburgh Asia Consortium
Undergraduate students are invited to present their research at the University of Pittsburgh, Oakland Campus on February 24Registration is required.

Japanese Language Speech Contest
Showcase your Japanese language skills while competing for a scholarship and other prizes. Applications are due December 31 and the competition will take place near Columbus on March 10.

Korea-America Student Conference
Students will have the opportunity to represent the U.S. in this academic and cultural exchange conference. The priority deadline is December 31.

Europe

Irish Christmas Concert

Irish band Lúnasa will perform traditional Irish music and Christmas favorites. Advance tickets are $20.

Ludwig

This Italian film follows the life and career of King Ludwig II of Bavaria. Age 25 and under tickets are $9.

Latin America

Brazilian Music Concert
December 8, 8:00p.m., Music Box Supper Club
Guitarist Luca Mundaca and friends will play authentic Brazilian music. Tickets are $10.

Amigos International Summer Program
Spend 9 weeks living in Colombia and volunteering for international development and global health projects. The summer 2018 application deadline is December 10.
