RSVP – Career Workshop

RSVP here to confirm that you will be able to attend the International Studies Career Workshop, where International Studies alumni speakers will share advice about summer internships, first jobs, and careers. Co-sponsored by Sigma Iota Rho.

HACU National Internship Program
The Hispanic Association of Colleges and Universities coordinates a variety of internships with federal agencies. Early deadline for summer 2021 internships is October 30, 2020.

Cultural Vistas Fellowship
Summer internship placements in Argentina, Germany, or Singapore. Applications are due November 15, 2020.

Herbert Scoville Jr. Peace Fellowship
The Scoville Peace Fellowship offers recent graduates the opportunity to work full-time with non-profit and public-interest organizations. Applications close October 9, 2020 for the Spring 2021 semester.

Women’s Leadership Around the World
October 6, 7:30-8:30 p.m. EST, Virtual
The Cleveland Council on World Affairs is hosting a panel discussion on women in leadership globally amid the Covid-19 pandemic. A livestream will be made available here.

Pursuing a Career in International Service
View internship, scholarship, and program recommendations for underrepresented students interested in a career in international service. Some suggestions apply to all students.

Asia

Princeton in Asia
Princeton in Asia will be offering in-person, hybrid remote, and remote fellowships in this cycle. 2021-2022 applications are due November 9, 2020.

Two Chinese people return to their ancient village as it is being destroyed for reconstruction in a changing China. Screening fees are $10.

Europe

St. Stanislaus Polish Festival
October 3-4, St. Stanislaus Social Center and Virtual
This event will include a virtual Polka party, drive-through Polish food at the social center, and more.

The Keeper

A German POW remains in Britain following WWII to play football, finding love and facing hostility. Screening fees are $12.

Mambo Man

This winning Cuban film highlights Cuban culture and features musicians from the Buena Vista Social Club. Screening fees are $12.

Middle East Institute
MEI offers unpaid fall, spring, and summer internships in all of its departments. Applications are accepted on a rolling basis.
