Mitigating the COVID-19 Pandemic

Hear Professor McMann and her research collaborator, School of Medicine Professor Daniel Tisch, speak about their work on the COVID-19 pandemic.  Register for their session here. Spots remain under virtual attendance. Co-hosted by Sigma Iota Rho and the International Studies Program.

PPIA Junior Summer Institute
Apply for a graduate level preparation program for juniors seeking careers in public service. Applications are due November 15, 2020.

Truman Scholarship
Interested juniors should submit preliminary applications to Dean Amanda McCarthy by November 15, 2020.

James C. Gaither Junior Fellows Program
Graduates work at the Carnegie Endowment for International Peace in Washington, D.C. Seniors should submit application information to Dean Amanda McCarthy by November 30, 2020. Juniors should meet with her to plan.

Projects for Peace
Propose a project to promote peace, broadly defined, anywhere in the world.  Multiple International Studies majors have won this grant.  It can be used as the INTL practicum.  Intent to apply deadline is December 1, 2020.

Cleveland Council on World Affairs Spring Internships
Applications for Spring 2020 are due December 1, 2020.

Refugee Resilience and Humanitarian Action

Attend this lecture led by Dr. Catherine Panter-Brick, Professor of Anthropology, Health, and Global Affairs at Yale University, to hear about her research on refugees and its intersections with humanitarian action.

Japan Exchange and Teaching Program
