Spring 2023 CWRU Model UN Travel Team Sign Ups!
CWRU’s Model United Nations Team (North East Ohio’s #1 Model UN Team) is accepting Spring 2023 Travel Team applications! If you want to learn more about global issues, ranging from healthcare disparities to global security, then CWRU Model UN’s Team is the right fit for you!  Join our campus groups here, as we will begin registration for our Spring Semester travel conferences shortly! Projects for Peace
Do you have an idea for a community project to build peace? Apply for this $10,000 grant that can be used for INTL practicums. The intent to apply is due December 1. Please email studyabroad@case.edu for more information and to work on essays.

US Together Volunteering
US Together is looking to fulfill multiple volunteer positions.

Harry S. Truman Scholarship
Juniors planning to attend graduate school for careers in public service are eligible to apply for this merit-based scholarship. The application deadline is November 15.

Fund for Peace Internships 
FFP offers internships in international relations each semester. Applications are due November 15.

Critical Language Scholarship Program
Summer CLS applications are now available. The application deadline is November 15.

Environmental Internships
The Environmental Law & Policy Center offers several, unpaid internships each season. Some spring applications are due as early as November 15.

James C. Gaither Junior Fellows Program
Graduates work at the Carnegie Endowment for International Peace in Washington, D.C. Seniors should submit application information to Dean Wes Schaub by November 30, 2021. Juniors should meet with her to plan.

CCWA Spring 2023 Internships
An internship at CCWA can offer a world of opportunities as you develop skills and complete meaningful projects that advance our mission. They are looking for a Model UN intern, Exchange intern, and Speaker Programs intern. Applications are due December 1.

Africa

Africa in the Changing World Order
Friday, November 11, 12:00 – 1:30 p.m., Landmark Centre Building, 25700 Science Park Dr.
A lecture by Dr. Paul Tiyambe Zeleza, Associate Provost and North Star Distinguished Professor, CWRU. The lecture will look at Africa’s positioning in the major global transformations, including demographic shifts, climate change, hegemonic rivalries, rise of populism, and implications of the Fourth Industrial Revolution. Registration is free.

Asia

Engage America: Future of Korea 2022
Wednesday, November 9, 5:30 – 7:30 p.m., Residence Inn by Marriott
Here experts from the Korea Economic Institute, the Korean Embassy, and the U.S. Department of State speak on strategies to strengthen U.S.-Korea relations. Student registration is free.

Japan Education Training (JET) Program
The JET Program allows young professionals to live and work throughout Japan. Applications are due November 12.
World Languages

Kaffeestunde

Amistad (Spanish Conversation Hour)
Every Friday, 12:30 – 2:00 p.m., Guilford Lounge 223.

Korean Speaking Skills
The Korean American Student Association (KASA) is continuing Korean classes this year. Classes are on Zoom, taught by fellow students, and personalized to the participants. All levels are welcome.
