International Studies Career Workshop

Advising Appointments
If you would like to meet with Professor McMann at the beginning of the semester, you can sign up for an appointment here.  Meetings will be by Zoom.

No Standard Office Hours
Throughout the semester email Professor McMann for an appointment; she will not have standard office hours due to pandemic restrictions for her building.

Digital Project Fellowship
Apply for a fellowship to complete your own digital research project under the guidance of CWRU’s Freedman Center for Digital Scholarship team. International topics are eligible.

Summer 2022 National Security Agency Internships
Applications for dozens of Summer 2022 NSA programs and internships are open now.  Applications are accepted as early as September 1.

Entrepreneurship Program
Work remotely this fall on entrepreneurship-related projects for CWRU start-ups, government agencies, and non-profits. Applications are due August 30.

The Rangel Graduate Fellowship
This fellowship leads to a career in the U.S. Foreign Service. Deadline to apply is September 29, 2021.

Volunteer at One World Day
August 29, 11:00a.m.-6:00p.m., Cleveland Cultural Gardens
Celebrate different cultures, with special performances held at the Centennial Peace Plaza. Volunteer and receive a voucher for vendors. Contact volunteer@clevelandoneworldday.org with any questions.

Swimming Out Till the Sea Turns Blue

Prominent authors Jia Pingwa, Yu Hua, and Liang Hong are interviewed about the changes found in Chinese society since 1949. Tickets are $7 for those under 25 years old.

Asian Lantern Festival
August 19-September 5, 6:30-10:30p.m., Cleveland Metroparks Zoo
Drive or walk through Asian lantern displays and live performances. Purchase online tickets in advance for $20 each.
