In 1996, the Academy of American Poets started celebrating National Poetry Month during April. This month helps remind the public of the important role poets play in our culture and society. In celebration, we’ve asked poets across the College to share their stories with us.
Marie Vibbert, webmaster for the College of Arts and Sciences
Since she was very young, Vibbert liked writing stories. When the time came to start writing poetry in school, she quickly got hooked on playing with words in a new way. Since then, she’s been nominated for the Science Fiction Poetry Association’s Rhysling Award three times, including this year! Learn more about Vibbert in this “5 questions” with the daily.
