Assistant Professor of Chinese
Haomin Gong is Assistant Professor of Chinese at Case Western Reserve University. He received his Ph. D. degree in Comparative Literature from University of California, Davis in 2008. He had taught at the College of William and Mary and St. Mary’s College of Maryland before joining Case Western Reserve University in 2013. He is the author of Uneven Modernity: Literature, Film, and Intellectual Discourse in Postsocialist China (University of Hawai‘i Press, 2012), and has published articles in Modern Chinese Literature and Culture, Journal of Chinese Cinemas, Journal of Contemporary China, China Information, Asian Cinema, Telos, Concentric: Literary Cultural Studies, and Frontiers of Literary Studies in China. In addition, he has also contributed chapters to a number of edited volumes.
