Film Studies

Case Western Reserve offers many opportunities for film study

Undergraduate and graduate students can take film courses on a wide range of topics, taught by faculty across the university. The campus and surrounding area institutions provide a rich environment for watching and discussing films.

Two ways undergraduates can study film:

The Minor in Film

The English Major with a Concentration in Film

English Majors Pursuing the Honors Track

ENGL 367—Introduction to Film is an approved substitute for the ENGL 387—Critical Theory requirement. Look for ENGL 367 in both the Fall and Spring Department of English course offerings and on SIS.
