Sigma Iota Rho Meet & Greet and Information Session

Fund for Peace Internships 
FFP offers internships to graduate and undergraduate students each semester. Interns at FFP are given significant responsibility and are provided with practical experience in the international relations field, with excellent work experience and exposure to international and NGO communities. Applications are due November 15, 2020.

Brookings Institution 
The Brookings Internship program provides students and recent graduates with a pre-professional, meaningful, and practical work experience related to the student’s field of study or career interest. Applications are due November 22, 2020.

International Economic Development Council 
IEDC offers an extensive internship program for graduate and undergraduate students organized into four different categories: economic development technical, public policy, member services, and communications/marketing. Applications are due November 15, 2020.

Max Kampelman Fellowship Program 
Fellows work directly with Congressional offices, executive branch officials, and foreign diplomats on foreign policy issues. Fellowships are offered in communications and policy. Applications are due November 1, 2020.

Congressional Black Caucus Foundation Internships 
CBCF’s internship programs prepare college students and young professionals to become principled leaders, skilled policy analysts, and informed advocates by exposing them to the processes that develop national policies and implement them – from Capitol Hill to federal field offices. Applications are due November 27, 2020.

Foundation for the Defense of Democracies
The FDD offers a variety of unpaid internships to undergraduate students. Applications are accepted on a rolling basis.

U.S Department of State Recent Graduates Program
Recent graduates have the opportunity to work at the State Department, with the potential to be hired permanently afterwards. Check www.usajobs.gov for job postings.

Cleveland Council on World Affairs Spring Internships
Applications for Spring 2020 are due December 1, 2020.

Conversations about Justice

Council on Foreign Relations 2020 Election Forum
October 26, 3:00-4:30 p.m., Virtual
Join former Secretary of State Madeleine Albright and President of the Council on Foreign Relations Richard N. Haass for CFR’s final discussion forum on the foreign policy challenges awaiting the winner of the presidential election. Register here by October 23.

Foreign Policy and the 2020 Election

Foreign Affairs Networking

Join U.S. Department of State panelists for a session on the role of exchange programs in international relations. Networking opportunities for students with foreign affairs related organizations will be available. Register in advance.

Africa

USAID Bureau for Africa Summer Internship
The Bureau for Africa internships focus on improving health services, supporting businesses, and strengthening communities in Africa. The deadline to apply for summer is December 15, 2020.

Asia

Japan Exchange and Teaching Program
Teach English in Japan after college through the JET Program.  Numerous International Studies alumni have secured positions in this competitive program. The 2020 application deadline is November 20, 2020.

Europe

Congress-Bundestag Young Professionals Exchange
Spend one year in Germany studying, interning, and living with a host family on this funded fellowship. Application deadline November 7, 2020.
