Effects of Russia’s War in Ukraine:  A Firsthand Account from Europe
Thursday, April 7, 3-4 pm, online 
International Studies alumna Kimberly Osbern ’21 will share her eyewitness account of the effects of Russia’s war in Ukraine on neighboring Moldova and Romania.  She will also be happy to share her Fulbright research and application experiences.

International Security Positions 
Deadlines for international security positions beginning summer 2022 can be as early as this spring due to security clearance requirements.  If you are interested in such positions, begin to monitor and U.S. federal agency web sites regularly now.

Cleveland Humanities Festival
Through March and April, the festival will probe the idea of “discourse” through art, literature, and music; some events are foreign-focused.

Cleveland International Film Festival
March 30 – April 9, Playhouse Square  
Watch documentaries on humanitarian issues, hilarious 10-minute shorts, foreign flicks, and films screened in virtual reality. Admission ranges from $0-$25.

Cleveland Council on World Affairs Internship
CCWA is looking for two Model UN interns and an international exchange intern, among other summer interns. Apply by April 1.

Future Global Leaders Scholarship 
Junior and senior women pursuing careers in international trade are encouraged to apply for this scholarship, which includes mentorship. Applications are due April 1.

Defense Intelligence Agency Summer Internship
Work with professionals in intelligence, technology, human resources, and other international-related fields. Applications are due April 1.

Women in International Trade Scholarships

Governance and Local Development Internship

APSIA Internships 
The Association of Professional Schools of International Affairs is seeking summer interns in international communication and marketing. Summer application deadline is April 16.

Wright-Plaisance Fellowship for Study Abroad 
A fellowship for pursuing post-baccalaureate study at a university in Europe or South America. Applications are due April 29.

Rocks Funds
This grant funds summer experiences, including INTL 399 practicums. International Studies majors are eligible. Applications are due April 29.
