The College of Arts and Science will host Physics and Political Science alumni at the second Specialty Department Reunion during Case Western Reserve University’s 2024
Homecoming and Reunion Weekend, Nov. 14–17! We look forward to celebrating the many accomplishments of the departments’ faculty, alumni, students, and friends.

Thursday, November 14th
Physics Department Welcome Reception | Rockefeller 2nd Floor – AA Michelson Lounge & Conference Room (Rock 219) and the Leslie L. Foldy Conference Room (Rock 221), 3-4 pm
Join physics alumni, faculty & students for a casual reception to kick off the weekend.
Physics Department Research “Slam” |Rockefeller 301, 4-5 pm
Join us for a collection of brief, lively research presentations from the Department of Physics faculty.

Friday, November 15th
State of the College of Arts and Sciences | Tinkham Veale University Center, Senior Classroom, 10-11 am
Interim Dean Peter Whiting will share an update on the college and future plans.
Alumni Association Luncheon | Tinkham Veale University Center, Ballroom, 11:30-1 pm
University-wide luncheon honoring this year’s CWRU alumni award winners.
Physics and Beyond Panel and Discussion | Jack, Joseph and Morton Mandel Community Studies Center, 2-3 pm
Join a lively talk on all the places a degree in physics has taken our alumni.
Alumni and Student Reception | George S. Dively Building, 3-4 pm
Keep the conversation going during a reception with students and fellow alumni.
Celebrating Case Women in STEM |Sears think[box], 3-5 pm
Women in STEM from CWRU and its predecessor schools will share their experiences.
IGNITE: A Celebration of Leadership and Philanthropy at the College of Arts and Sciences | Glidden House, Juniper Room, 5:30-7:30 pm
An evening to celebrate our donors and alumni who make the college all that it is. Cocktails and hors d’oeuvres, music, and friends, and a chance to celebrate this year’s College of Arts and Sciences Distinguished Alumni Award winners.
Saturday, November 16th
Physics Department Tours and Buffet Brunch | Rockefeller Building, 10-12 am
An open house of Rockefeller that will include historical photos and materials, research posters, student-led lab tours, and of course faculty “office hours.”
Case Alumni Association All-Class Reunion Lunch | Tomlinson Hall, 11:30 am – 1:30 pm
Case Alumni Association welcomes Physics grads for lunch ahead of the big game.
Sears think[box] Open House | Richey Mixon Building (enter Veale Center), 12:30-1 pm
Sign up to get a tour of the Sears think[box] and see the seven-story innovation center and cutting-edge makerspace.
Homecoming Football Game | DiSanto Field, 1:30 pm
Cheer on the CWRU Spartans as they take on the Carnegie Mellon University Tartans.
Student-led tours of the Cleveland Museum of Art | Cleveland Museum of Art, 3-4 pm
Graduate art students will offer curated tours of this world-class art museum and CWRU partner institution.
